As we embark on another Championship weekend, it is important to acknowledge all the fantastic work being done by our Covid supervisors, Coaches, Players, Parents and wider families in what continue to be very challenging circumstances.
So much has changed over the past number of months – dressing rooms are out of bounds, water bottles can no longer be shared, all players (juvenile and adult) obliged to sanitize their hands on entering/leaving the pitch, attendances at club games severely restricted.
Coaches and Covid supervisors have been very diligent in ensuring all guidelines are complied with. While this creates extra workload, it is absolutely necessary and a small price to pay to ensure our players can continue to play hurling and football in as safe an environment as is possible.
A special word of thanks to all the parents and players who have signed up to returntoplay.gaa.ie and continue to Reconfirm details before every training session and match.
Please note that Reconfirm must be done on the same day that the training session/match takes place.
So well done to everybody for all their hard work and cooperation. We have done so well, now let’s keep it going.
While we all want to win every game we take part in, for 2020 keeping everyone as safe as possible will be the biggest win of all.
Good luck to all our teams this weekend.
